Commission a Portrait

Nicole works exclusively from photographs. For her, painting is a meditative process and a live sitter’s energy is too distracting. Clients are invited to come to Nicole’s studio where they are professionally photographed. The session usually results in a great many images, most of which are used for reference in the ensuing portrait. It is a collaborative process, meaning the client chooses the photos he or she likes best, as well as how much detail he or she is interested in for the finished piece.
