Stacey Abrams is a firecracker, a strong, forceful woman who, with her fierce fight against voter suppression, may have carried Georgia over the line in winning a Democratic victory for Biden. She’s outspoken, charismatic, a talented speaker and writer. I’m swept away by her personality and great gifts, her vivid face which I intend to draw frequently — this little drawing is the first, and I will probably do a full portrait: Stacey in a bright red sweater, can’t beat that! Here’s the deal: I think we can count on people like Stacey Abrams to keep democracy safe and help us move from the chaos of Trump times to a sounder government the rest of the world can trust, admire and respect. She is definitely the face of a better future!
